Hypnotherapy training teaches you how to use alternate states of consciousness to help you and others achieve desired goals and fulfill life dreams. Life Works School of Hypnosis offers this internationally recognized state of the art program to all who want to experience hypnotherapy personally, or become a Hypnotherapist in practice.

After satisfactory completion of the Level I & II  course and the exams, Life Works School of Hypnosis will certify you as a Quantum Hypnotherapist and qualify and register you as a Certified Hypnotherapist with the National Guild of Hypnotists, the oldest, largest, and most recognized organization of it’s kind.

This course makes the science and art of Hypnotherapy clear. You learn about the mechanics of consciousness and states of attention that allow for digestion of past struggles and the conscious creation of the present and future. You will leave the course well equipped to support yourself and your clients to enact habit and lifestyle changes that create satisfying lives and relationships.

Life Works courses are taught experientially and include a total of 100 hours of classroom training, and personal practice outside the class about 10 hours a week. The third course is taught on demand and contains 50 hours of experiential training. You will hypnotize class mates, the instructor, many family members and friends as part of your training!

Your hypnotherapy training includes both traditional and transpersonal technique, trance experience as both client and hypnotist, understanding metaphor and the language of the psyche, written support materials, business tips and guidance.

Satisfactory completion of this training certifies you professionally and qualifies you to practice in most areas of the United States and abroad.

International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (Jan. 2004) Patients received individualized hypnosis for smoking cessation over three sessions. 81% reported they had stopped smoking completely and 48% reported abstinence for at least 12 months post-treatment. 95% of patients were satisfied with the treatment they received.

Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology (1996) Research into cognitive-behavioral weight loss treatments established that weight loss is greater where hypnosis is utilized. It was also established that the benefits of hypnosis increase over time.

Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology (1985) 109 people completed a behavioral treatment for weight management either with or without the addition of hypnosis. At the end of the 9-week program, both interventions resulted in significant weight reduction. At 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis subjects were found to have continued to lose significant weight, while those in the behavioral-treatment-only group showed little further change.

A controlled study of 32 coronary bypass patients showed that those taught self-hypnosis pre-operatively were more relaxed after surgery and had less need for pain medication (Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, February 1997).

Manganiello AJ. A comparative study of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy in the treatment of methadone addicts. American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis 1984; 26(4): 273-9. Significant differences were found on all measures. The experimental group had significantly less discomfort and illicit drug use, and a significantly greater number of withdrawals. At six month follow up, 94% of the subjects in the experimental group who had achieved withdrawal remained narcotic free.
